I wonder if we all are being honest with ourselves, how many really want their first car back?
In the case of the OP, I can see the sense in it. These cars are great even when they need work. My first was a 69 Dart, 2 door 318. I sold it in 1983. Sometime in the Summer of 1984 I saw it in a self service junkyard in my town while I was with a friend looking for parts for his Maverick. (Remember THOSE cars ???)
My Dart had no body damage so I figure that it ended up there due to at least one of the NUMEROUS electrical/charging problems that it had. I have had another 25 A body cars since then....everything from stripped out parts cars to decent running , driving cars.
Of them all, I would probably pick the Dart because I now have the money and ability to get it running right.

My first car was a 1976 Ford Escort 1.3L four door...and apart from fact that a good one is now quite collectable here and worth a bit I would not want that under powered, under braked rust prone car back!
If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you !!

I took a few more photo's of the car today. I just noticed that the original front seats are also gone. Anyone know what they came out of? I only
had time to take a few photo's before it started raining. I did not want to get my camera wet. Hopefully next time I am their I can get someone to
help me push it into the garage.

I posted the photo's in facebook album titled 1968 Dodge Charger. I was going to post them here but I think it would be easier to just link the entire album instead of linking all the photo's.

Not the same car,I was young and stupid & sold it, so yes I came full circle, although my car now, when it was new, is a twin to my neighbor's Charger that I fell in love with in 1967, I saw them drive up their driveway, I was 6 years old & remember it well, I thought WOW look at that cool lookin car what is it ?

I regret selling about evey car I've owned.

alfaitalia

................then you must have owned a lot nicer cars than the majority of mine! Only two or three out of about thirty I would want back....mainly the ones old enough to be worth something now!
