Might try a Fiat 4 Cylinder diesel engine that they put in the new Rams.
Wait..  Muscle cars and fuel mileage  :brickwall:  Find another hobby.

I don't see the problem if someone wants to build a classic Mopar with fuel economy in mind.

I think a 20mpg plus A body that is driven every single day can be just as cool as a 1000 HP garage queen Charger that may get driven 20 miles a month.

Besides, I'd rather look at the cool classic than another Prius.

QuoteAny of you guys believe the rumors going around back in the day, about a guy that invented a carb that could get 100 mpg on a v8? But some oil company bought the rights to it, and shut it up?

No way.  The racing world would have found the trick generations ago.  Anything that can make more mileage from the same horsepower, could just as easily make more horsepower for the same mileage on a different setup.

If not racers, then the factories would have found it.  They are standing on their heads to produce the slightest mileage gains these days.

My 69 Charger 318 2.76 got 25mpg on a trip to Ardmore OKlahoma for the TDC meet years ago.   It was doing 21-22mpg on the way down. Chryco Psycho rode with me and everytime we stopped he would get out and pop the hood and make some adjustments.   On the way home it did 25mpg.

You still Might try using a Fiat 4 Cylinder eco diesel engine that they put in the new Rams.  That would be one of a kind.  :scratchchin:

Those are 4 cylinders? I thought that they were small V6 engines.

Nope Fiat 4 cylinder diesels in a 1/2 ton Ram. And they charge you a extra 4k for this eco Diesel.

Easily attained, back in the day.   :2thumbs:
I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?
