I was wondering if anyone could tell me the difference between the external mirrors for a 71-72 vs 73-74 Dodge Charger. The time has come to replace mine and there is a very large difference in the price between the two variants.

Thank-You

Bob

73-74 mounting holes are further apart than the 71-72 which are closer together.

Not just the screws location but slightly the mount shape

If strict originality isn't a concern, you might score Cordoba sport mirrors cheap. They look similar, but are held on by three studs each and a plate inside the door. You'd have to drill your door. I did and am much happier with them than original Charger mirrors. They don't shake as much. Here are chrome Charger mirrors on the car when it was purple and body color Corboba mirrors on it now.

Are the passenger side mirrors power on the 'Doba?

No powered, but wired. Joystick locates down the ashtray area on dash frame

The hard part was getting up the courage to drill the big hole in my passenger door through which to pass the mirror control head. I ran it through the dash and drilled a hole near the ashtray where I can reach it from the driver's seat.

I'm looking for a 1973. I'm in Canada so that's just over $500 depending on the day for brand new ones.

Cordoba may be a way to go..I'll keep looking with that new info..Thanks
