Some things on it aren't quite right but it's a nice looking first gen Charger. All the 66 and 67 VINs start with XP29.  Not a lot of 440 cars still around.

SWEET LOOKIN' 1967!!  those first 2 dealerships (57009 & 58608) are in CALIFORNIA, can anyone make out the third dealer code?

so, what's not quite right?

I'm curious as to how the "seller" says less than 50 made with vinyl top out of 15,788 total made?? Would like to see his proof on that.

Car is a 67, but the bumper guards in the front are in the 66 location....

Nice car, but a little over priced.....

Fender tag says 881, bright blue metalic, otherwise the fender tag checks including clean air pkg.
Don't know how they can say unmolested though.

You sure that's not "SS1" (cream)?

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

looks like "SS1" to me on the tag

Nice car, but a little over priced.....

Agree, nice car but over market price.  A pretty decent first generation can be had for as little as $20,000-$25,000

6bblgt

obviously overpriced - it's sitting in a "CLASSIC CAR DEALERSHIP"  :pity:

anyone care to point out a '67 440 Charger in similar condition for less money

J.Bond

Over priced.....

Sometimes I have to scratch my head after reading some of these comments, what, over priced?
Compared to second gen prices :smilielol:

It must be that all first gen parts, are only half the cost, of second gen parts :shruggy:
And , there are so many first gens around, they just are not that expensive.

The car above is a one year only, the first charger to receive a 440, hence L code, and a vinyl top car.
Not crazy about the colour, but, it is what it is.
To refinish a first gen to that degree, would cost you what he is asking, if not more.

Just wondering , if you 2nd and 3rd gen people, tell your parents their ugly a couple of times a year .

Looked like that to me as well, but I didn't think SS1 was available in 67. According to Bryan's chart anyway. :slap:

Yes, SS1 was available in '67.

not a fan of the vinyl top or the color - I am a fan of the originality of it  :2thumbs:

but it would be much more appealing to me if it was "bronze metallic" with white bucket seats - but my '67 440 Charger was a rusty POS

I don't think it's overpriced.  Last time I checked the price guide it set a fifty percent premium for the L7 cars.  Mine is insured for more than that, and I wouldnt sell mine for that price.  I know first gens don't command the big bucks but they are still respectable cars with a lot of unique features.  Whoever buys that will probably know what they've got.  Like the hemi cars, they don't come up for sale very often.

TeeWJay426

Assuming all the gauges work, as well as the dash lights, it's not all that out of line. The trim and taillights look great, the headlights are closed so the motors apparently work, and those are the most expensive concerns on the first gens. There weren't a lot of the 440 cars produced in '67, 600-something comes to mind, so they will command a premium if original. It may be a little overpriced to some, but to a first gen fan, it's not excessive by any means. I'm sure it could be negotiated down to where it needs to be.
