I like it very much. Did some work for a guy back in the late 90's on his AMC Eagle. He had a '72 Green on Green 318 Charger sitting in his pole barn. I asked about it and he said none of his kids wanted it so he gave it to me. And he paid me for the work on the Eagle. And he fed me dinner. I drove it home that night. It was in well-used shaped but all it needed was a new carpet and a few interior fixes. A couple of nickel-sized holes in the floor and some brake work.
I wish that [dead] tree had not jumped out in front of me a few months later. Well, it actually fell into the road right in front of me at the same time I was setting a cup of coffee down, which had to be in the perfect spot because there wasn't really any place to set it down in that car except perfectly on the hump. When I looked up there was the tree and BAM! Same kind of damage as if I had jumped Hazzard Creek in the General Lee. Sorry to say that she saw her last sunset that night. And I went to jail too. Not because of anything I had done that night but an earlier arrest warrant had been issued for me. It had to do with me finding some ... um Green tobacco in the woods, telling the truth about it, getting let go, and then arrested later on. I got probation.
So I meet an old friend in jail and he cusses me out for taking the Charger to the junkyard. Sez I shoulda' brought it over to his house and dropped it off.
By today's pricing that car would be worth 10 grand. A 318 car worth 10 grand? Boy have I been out of the loop for a while.
-- Sorry to say I cannot find any pictures of it so I have to call the guy who gave it to me and see if he has any.
I loved coming out of the car wash and lighting up the tires. It sounded really good.
-- Any of you guys have understeer problems in your 3rd gen. small block Charger?
