I am converting my H code 383 '68 Charger to an 833 4 Speed and just ran the numbers stamped on my trans, it came out of a 1969 H code 383 Road Runner. Trans is dated late '68 but Road Runner Vin on trans is '69. I am using a factory '68 non console shifter and linkage, is everything on the 833 the same from 68 to 69?

The model year started in about August of the calendar year prior so, yes, a 1969 model car could have been built in 1968 (plus the parts had to be made before the car could be assembled so there's lead time for that too). The transmission was the same from about 1966 to 1977 (or whenever the OD versions started). There were different tail shaft housings for A-body and truck applications and an extra shifter mount was added in 1970 for the E Bodies. So, yes, it would have been the same in 1968 and 1969. ;)

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

And the mount pad was moved forward in '70.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.
