Greetings from the UK !
I am nearing the completion of my 68 Charger R/T restoration and my car has only the Rally Dash Clock . If I was to purchase this

http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-68-69-70-B-Body-Rallye-Dash-Tic-Toc-Tach-Clock-Super-Bee-GTX-Charger-Mopar-/371814349586?fits=Year%3A1968%7CModel%3ACharger&hash=item5691dcbb12:g:YtMAAOxy--NRu24b&vxp=mtr

is it a straight fit physical replacement ?  I would have then have to add the Tachometer wiring which is not in the original wiring harness .

Hi! yes, it will install in you current dash cluster. The wiring harness is available aftermarket or you can make your own pretty easily.

on a side note - if you are using electronic ignition you will most likely need a tach adapter in order for it to read RPM correctly.

Thanks . I was going to fit an MSD 8387 distributor which I believe just has a tacho output so am I correct in thinking I won't need an adaptor ?

M&H makes a harness for the tac, sold through Yearone or Classic Industries

Anytime you go away from the points style distributor to an electronic one you need an adapter in order for the factory tach to read correctly. Unless the tach has an upgraded circuit board installed that will function with all types of ignition. These tachs don't, I know because I have one as well, I have the MSD 6Al system and I used #8920 for my car.

Good luck!

Thanks for the info on the Tach adaptor  :2thumbs:

I thought those newer tachs were setup to work without needing an adapter
