Found 383 hp

Recently replaced my old 383 with a stroked 400. Once I got the motor out, I found these vin numbers on the back edge by the transmission.. 8G209615

Looking to see if anyone has the car that goes with this engine?  Long shot but you never know.. 
Motor runs but needs rebuild to make much better.. 

Anyone out there?

8 - 1968 model year.

G - St. Louis plant.

Only B-bodies were made there for 1968.

Excellent.  Thanks! It would be nice to reunite body and engine. But as I said, long shot.
