I purchased a fender bolt kit . I am a little unclear where all the bolts are supposed to do . THE packaged labeled 2 says it's for the core support . Does that mean the very front the ones that go down thedge of the rad support?

Then I have bag mark 3 . it's labels as firewall mount /cowl and side ?? confused exactly where those are ?one of the for the hidden on way at the back top of the fire wall ????

Thanks in advance !

I'm assuming by your screen name that you have a '68. The 68s are a little different than the 69-70s. There are 3 bolts on each side that go through the front of the inner apron/core support to the headlight bucket on the fender. The fasteners for the cowl/firewall are studs and nuts. You have a stud on the bracket that connects the inner apron to the firewall. This is the stud that is in the corner of the cowl and fender which is visible when the hood is open. The other fastener that is on the side of the cowl is a stud that goes through the tab on the cowl and into the fender. You will see that there is a hole with a threaded insert that is on the underside of the fender in the main support bracket. I believe that the stud has to be installed after the fender is in place and before your splash shields go in. Now I don't see all of the pieces in your kit, but there should be 2 studs, U nuts, and nuts that hold the lower part of the fender to the rocker. All of the places that have studs are where the fender gets shims for alignment. The top of the apron to fender hardware is U nuts and bolts. Supposedly the very front corner of the fender to the core support that is somewhat hidden has had a couple of fastener styles throughout production. Some cars had bolts there and others had studs/nuts. I'm assuming that it all depended on how the hood naturally lined up. If the gap was tight and the fenders needed to be moved out, they put studs in that location and shimmed it, if not then they got bolts. Hope this helps!
