Anyone ever seen chrome 3rd Gen R/T taillight louvers?

I just noticed today that on my 71 R/T model car they are chrome, and was curious if anyone has ever done this?  Would be interested to see pics if there are any

I don't think chromed louver would look good since surface is texturiced, except on the edges.

Original R/T louvers colors are, black on louvers slots and frame around the lenses, charcoal gray on all the big surface ( I think that's the color ) and argent on outer edges. Only would look IMHO the chromed area on outer edge.

Can anyone tell me what the correct paint is for these?  Do you need primer first and if so what kind? These look to be potmetal and I have never painted that before.  It doesnt have to be 100% factory original but something that looks close that I can do myself...

Forgot to add I havent decided between silver or black yet but am leaning towards the silver.  Also would like to know about the taillight housings, what color and how to prep them

charcoal gray, black and argent or silver on louvers bezel as I described. Prep paint cans doen't need really a primer

housing argent will be fine. If you ad a clear coat, even better.
