... to having an all Mopar fleet!

I needed something better to drag the Chargers around with than the Suburban since it's getting to the point where it worries me and the gas mileage is horrible (3/4 ton with a 454). The Tacoma isn't big enough to pull around a fully loaded trailer even though it makes a perfect parts runner and is a 4x4. The Celica was a great daily driver but I wanted out of the loan and my drive to work is a lot shorter than it used to be. I have been looking for a Cummins Ram for over a year but couldn't decide if I wanted the 4x4 or not. Duallies with a 5-speed (or 6-speed) are almost non-existent within 300 miles of my house so that makes it hard to check one out before buying. I found this within 2 hours of my house and it had everything I wanted except the stick shift. It's a 1999 Ram 3500 SLT Laramie with CTD, auto OD, and 4x4. The price was right and they took the Celica in trade so I brought it home. It has a gooseneck hitch but I'll probably never use it. I figure that I can get out of three cars (and insurance payments) and into one - not to mention that certain people like to tease me for having "ricers" and towing a Dodge with a Chevy. :D

Very nice Troy. Congratulations! That's a big honkin truck!

Charger_Fan

Nice truck, congrats!!
Around here there's trucks like that about every 3rd block, but most often the duallies get more beat up than the single wheel trucks. That one looks like it's in great shape! I like the color too.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

WIN WIN Situation, I need to do about the same thing you did congrats  :icon_smile_big:

Right on Troy. My boss has the same truck w/a *Boss Snow Plow* set up on it. Same color even as yours. If I can, I'll grab some shoots of it to post along with yours.
Awesome truck buddy!

Hey, you can hate the game but don't hate the player.

You'll be happy having and auto trans I bet. A little worse on mileage but much more driveable IMO. Nice truck BTW.

Charger_Croatia

Very nice. Congratulations!!

To bad we don't have RAM available in Croatia!

Very nice truck!! Nice chess move, got rid of the Celica for a MOPAR  :2thumbs: Now let's hope fuel prices go down. Can't understand why diesel which goes through less of a refining process is running as high as premium around here in NY!!

I had to double check to see who posted this topic, not that much sarcasm & he wasn't yelling at someone to go read it over again.  :D

Nice truck Troy, one of the mechanics that works here bought a Dodge dually to turn into a utility truck for his tools & generator. Got the same color too, which looks different at times in certain sunlight. (Purple to blue)

Good luck with it, Bob

Yeah it's definitely HUGE! I need to take a picture of it next to my Tacoma. I used to think that truck was a decent size (extended cab, long bed, 4x4) but it looks like a 1/2 scale model next to the Ram. I haven't managed to clip the rear fenders on anything yet which is good because I've been told that paint is tough to touch up. It is difficult to park because, even in nice-sized spaces the outer rear wheels will sit on the lines on both sides. The turning radius is a bit larger than I'm used to as well. The gas mileage is a bit better than the Tacoma and diesel fuel is about 30 cents cheaper around here after the last price hike so my timing seems good so far.

Great looking truck I have one just like it but red. I love it and don't sell the gooseneck hitch short someday you'll find a reason just keep looking. Say goodbye to going thru a lot of the drive thru's unless they are the single ones most businesses use a standard car for sizing them. You will usually have about 1 to 2 inches on each side if you center it just right.

So far no scratches on my fenders but I worry more about other people in the parking lots. Lets just say I walk across a lot of parking lots for exercise.
