hello just about to rebuild my brake calipers and came across this article .anyone heard about doing this before I've always just oiled up the rubbers with brake fluid but because this caliper kits cost me an arm and a leg i don't want to make any mistakes any imput from the pro's would be appreciated

Me thinks someone is way to excessive in using that grease.
Way to much, in my opinion.

By the way, i use this lubricant.
Using it for decades, but hard to find, now a days.
A bottle will last you the rest of your life.

 As a British car restorer for many decades, I swear by Castrol red rubber grease. God know that British hydraulics are problematic, and this stuff helps tremendously.

Just use it sparingly. Too much can interfere with hydraulic fluid movement. A small tube will last for years. You can find it on ebay cheap.
