Talking to Classic Auto Air today about crank pulleys Steve the tech. asked for part number of the water pump housing?  After checking mine (2780987) online I found the guys at 440 Source had a nice breakdown explaining what was what that I thought I would share. I see how pulley sets could get tricky and we could have alignment issues setting up our engines.  :2thumbs:

cool, I have the late 73-79 MH WP housing with the larger opening for more water flow. glad I used it and not the other one I had at the time. it had the small hole under t-stat.

I as well thought cast iron housings were all the same with a left or right inlet.

I learned something today.
