Hey,folks. I'm thinking about selling my car one 1969 charger 383 727 with 8 3/4 rear 3.23 gear. The motor, trans rear end front end is rebuilt. New tank, aluminum 26" rad. I have doors fenders , bumpers. About the only big parts needed would be windshield and door cards. Not the original seats pictured, but I do have them. They need to be re done. Heater box is rebuilt , dash is repainted with new pad. It has frame connectors welded in. Just needs blocking and a bit of finishing body work. The paint you see is b5 blue. Steering column is rebuilt. New brakes , front discs and booster.I'm in Canada and there's not much around and nothing to compare too.

If only I could find something like that for that sort of money over here! I'm looking at rusty heaps one step from the scrap yard up for £10,000 (about $15500!) plus! :shruggy:

Does it drive? Real hard to tell from just a couple photos, but I'd suggest that if you want to get a better price, spend a weekend bolting the sheet metal, bumpers, lights, and grille back on it. The more it looks like a complete car the more prospective buyers you'll have.

yep and nascar on the other walls.lol

Yes it runs not guite driving. Won't take much, run some brake and gas lines to the back and install the steering column.
I figured I'd put the sheet metal back it. Still not 100% if I will sell it,but its looking like it.

cbrestorations

i would say 14-15k if you just spend a day bolting some of it back together

Yes I agree

yep that's what I meant. I was thinking I'd ask mid to high teens for it. Wouldn't take much to finish it off.

I agree.

Doing real resto work to raise the selling price of a car is generally not worth it.  But in this case, the several days that you spend bolting everything together & firing up the motor will probably be cost-effective.  Complete running cars sell for a lot more than projects.

What are those seats that are in it

Been Restoring cars for 30+ years & never heard of a door card. Is it foreign terminology? LEON. :scratchchin:

alfaitalia

Maybe its a Euro thing......I've never heard them called anything but door cards over here (UK!).

Watching Wheeler Dealers , the terms they use sound like that . " Bits " , " tattered" , " gear box " , " gear selector" ," bonnet" , etc.

alfaitalia

Yep "Two nations divided by a common language" as Oscar Wilde once said. I'm a regular over on Jeepforum (5500 plus posts) and it took me ages to get used to the different words you have for the same car parts! Rockers instead of sills, fenders instead of wings, hoods and trunks instead of bonnets and boots etc etc etc!!

 I don't remember were I heard that name door card, but it might have been wheeler dealers or another show.
I have one local guy tell me he would ask about 25 for it. I thought that was a little high,I did see a couple of cars with no motor or trans(rolling chassis)listed on line for 16,000. Not sure if they ever sold.

hemi-hampton

$25 Sounds way high to me considering what I sold mine for. Good luck. LEON.

Why not just going for this one?
I have just got mine from the States after 4 months waiting on parts and shipping. The shipping actually wasn't too expensive.Cost more to haul it home from Netharlands to Hungary,2700 km,then to ship her from New York to Rotterdam.
