Spring Fling 30th at Van Nuys Cali will be a Wingcar Festival...APRIL-23rd
I don't mind 11 hours in a cramped BA seat to see over 30 Wingers in one place!

 JUst got info of fling  4-23an24th 2016, and have it all noted in my 2016 calander.  have to plan ahead an stuff to look forward too.
           11 hrs on a plane ,me 900 mile drive each way,,,,,,,,in what car??  then over to vegas to lose money an see  older brother.

There will be a track day at Willow Springs Raceway Thursday the 21st.   Two days before the Fling.      It's a Mopar track day but other makes and rental cars are welcome.     And there will be some wing cars getting it on..   There generally is three run groups with 20 minute sessions.      The three run groups are; 1st timers, some track time and lets give it all I got...

One of two things happen at lunch time.   Open track to anyone with a 60mph limit or they close off the front straight (1/2 mile long) for some "friendly" drag racing.

Chrysler Engineers Bob Tarozzi and Bill Surber will be at the track Wednesday and Thursday as well as Woodley Park for the Spring Fling on Saturday and Sunday.  Wednesday at the track will be later in the day for some testing and story telling with the Engineers while we camp out.   If you have an RV, there is lots of room.  If not, the host hotel is the Palmdale Inn in Palmdale and there will be many rooms set aside with a group rate.  Info will be posted on Alltime Racing's website    http://alltimeracing.com/   by the end of December.   The Palmdale Inn is about 15 miles from the track.   Also you can look up Alltime Racing on Facebook.  But the same thing.... It's not updated with the info yet.

I am in!! There is also a cruise on the Firday before from Van Nuys to Malibu. I have done that twice and its a great drive. I highly recommend it.

Here are some photos. After the cruise Picture Car Warehouse has an open house and then the Bob's Big Boy in Reseda has a Mopar cruise night. Its a great day for sure.

Great lineup of Mopars there especially the Six-pack car!
I remember seeing it drive on Reseda many years ago.
Brought a tear to my eye back then and still does.
Always regret selling mine, but hey that's life!

CPW member Jim Froelich is working with Sean Machado (C5X Daytona) to put this very special outing together.

Talked to Jim today and he has 21 wing cars committed on coming to Spring Fling this year. And has 4 "maybes". 2-3 Hemi wing cars. 2 Hemi Daytona's. Maybe Hemi 'Bird?  

There still are lots of wing cars that are out there.

Working on two non running ones to get towed there. One getting ready for resto.


Also the #77 Sam Posey Trans Am car and a real newly restored 70 Hemi Cuda Conv 4spd FC7 will be on display.

Three people are bringing TWO wing cars



Pre Reg numbers seem to be up too.

Should be a big show. But we have plenty of room for everyone.

And the park grass is looking really good.
Also, to reduce dust we will to divert traffic off the dirt and onto the grass on main entry way. This really keeps the dust from those leaving in the afternoon.

Nice green grass as of 4/1/16. And it rained some this weekend, so should be good for it.
