I'm trying to adjust the passenger side door glass on my 73. Actually I'm trying to first understand the wording of the factory body manual from 73. I've never done any glass adjustment. I'm waiting on the roofrail weatherstripping before I actually do the adjustments. I've got the side seals on the door and door jamb, and new door weatherstripping already on. The factory body manual lists five different adjustments for the glass. Fore and Aft, Parallelism of Glass to Primary Seal, In-Out Secondary Seal, Front and Rear Track Parallelism, and Down Stop-Manual. Is there an easier way to explain each of those, so I know what the glass is suppose to be doing when I'm loosening and tightening the bolts? On the illustration which is too large to post along with the adjustments it shows 2 Fore and Aft adjustment points on the bottom run channel studs, one if Fore and Aft In and Out and the other one is just Fore and Aft. What does that mean?

Oh Boy. Your about to experience a whole new level of frustration. Trust me, I've been there. Two winters ago I had to replace the drivers door on my 72. This entailed swapping all the window and latching mechanisms. Even thou I positioned the hardware exactly where it was on my old door the window wasn't even close. This is basically going to be a trial and error method. Once you figure out how each adjustment  affects the window you will be able to adjust it to close properly.
I think I had to take about three beer breaks while doing mine.

I never have read procedures, I have done by trial and error. and still not satisfied, but just because I think glasses are made in down here and shape is not the exactly one, even they were made with same USA casts.

I've been digging around trying to find something online that explains how to adjust 3rd gen door glass and stumbled on this old thread as well as another one here: http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,28368.0.html
I can say that the process is, indeed, quite frustrating. I was able to get the glass better than it was, but it's still not quite where I want it. Right now, the back edge of the glass is not quite parallel with the stainless strip on the quarter window. I think dropping the back of the glass just an 1/8 of an inch would do it. I'm not sure if it's worth pulling off the door panels or not. Hoping that, over the years since this thread was active, someone can post a tutorial (or a link to one) to adjusting this door glass.
