Finally got my truck just this past week after many years of sulking in the background at home. Wife told me to just get one and quit whinning like a two year old :boogie: 2014 Ram SLT with 50,000 kms, 5.7 hemi. Of course you just can't leave things as is, now I'm looking to add a few upgrades to it, so just wondering if any of you are on a Ram forum. Which one would you recomend.

What leveling kit did you go with?  I am looking to do the same with my 1500 Big Horn.

Thanks guys for the quick reply. Like most of us on here, first things first: get the engine breathing properly. Cat back and a good air box. Thinking of these two- http://www.summitracing.com/int/parts/knn-63-1561/overview/ for the filter and this for the exhaust http://www.summitracing.com/int/parts/mpe-16869/overview/ . Rear bumper doesnt' have the exhaust cutaway like on the Laramie. Would this be a problem.

Congrats! Not to hijack the thread, good info on forums. Just a word of warning. I have a '04 Hemi that I put a dual exhaust system on, traditional 2 1/2" with x-pipe through dual cats and necked down to 2 1/4" Dynomax VT mufflers. Stock exhaust manifolds. It hurt performance more than helped it. Just be careful and do a lot of research before you make major changes like that.  I wish I'd never done it. Ok, back to our regularly scheduled programming.

i went with bilstein adjustable shocks to replace the factory. set them at 2.1, and it leveled it perfectly. you need to remove the spring assembly and have a spring compressor tool to remove the old one. here is a video to help, and read instructions for washer location, i had to re do mine.

Shocks: make sure it will fit your truck, not sure but they changed something in the years, id have to look at what my part # was if you have a '15

if you get the spring spacer it makes the ride harsher. but it is easier to install. if you need help PM me

thanks for the heads up. i have dual exhaust from the factory, not true dual, and I'm only replacing the muffler with a magnaflow 24" direct swap.

I thought about getting a CAI, but if you read on the forum, you can build your own out of your box. i would want one with a cover to eliminate dust even more, so the K&N would be out, for me. i know the top is sealed with the hood, but your still getting some air from under the hood which is warmer. its up to you. plenty of info on that site.
as for the exhaust, I'm not real sure if it will be a issue. looks like its made for a bumper with the cut outs, but they might just mount right under it. maybe call them, or try to score a bumper off ebay or junk yard

I wanna know who decided that if you want  a 1500 with four doors you HAVE to have a short bed instead of longbed. The only way to get a longbed 1500 ANYTHING is to get a regular cab. Stupid IMO!

Therefore, I'll stick with my 97 Club cab long bed untill I can afford a 2500, which as it goes is goint to be never!

Thanks for all the imputs. Think I will do my homework now. I would imagine that having the open CAI under the hood, it would draw hot air into the engine. Will keep you posted.

IMO, the S&B intake is pretty cool. its closed up but has a plexiglass top to look into to check the filter.

I'm a member of cumminsforum.com. Not totally useful for your application (Hemi) but still a very solid resource for anything non-drivetrain. Nice truck BTW. We are a 2 Ram family; I drive a 3500 DRW 6.7L Cummins, wife drives a 3500 SRW 6.4L Hemi.
