66 Charger AC Question

I just had my wife's 66 Charger with factory AC recharged with R-12. The AC now works great (48 degree air), but the heater blend door is either not working or stuck open. In order to get cold air out of the ducts, I had to bypass the heater core. The Max AC to AC works, as the door allowing outside air into the car when selecting AC works OK. I bought a new AC control vacuum switch as I thought there might be a cracked vacuum nipple on the end. Once I pull the cluster out, anything else I can check?
