What did the factory use to seal the seams between the Dutchman panel and the sail panels? 2nd Gen.

I generally like using 3M's Fast N Firm PN#08505 seam sealer in brush or caulk gun cartridges for sealing body seams, for tight seams I'll use the caulk gun cartridges to force the sealer down deep, to smooth the seam sealer nicely, use your finger after dipping it repeatedly in a small container of lacquer thinner, this helps your finger glide over the seam sealer without pulling it up, or dragging it, plus leaves a slick surface on the seam sealer showing no trace of application method, this works for seam sealer that you also brush on, like in the trunk floor, main floor, etc...helps give that factory look/application

The original stuff I sanded into looked suspiciously like Bondo. I'm sure the modern product is better...thanks for the tip.
