Body gasket kit, what are the foam rolls for?

Just got this kit, can anyone help me out as to where the foam rolls are used?? Thanks!

Roof "rails"..anyone got a picture of that? Thanks! Didnt' see anything like it pulling the car down. I have all the window / door rubbers for vent, door, upper frame and rear flip outs but didn't notice anything like the roll of foam.... but the resto shop ended up pulling my windows out, so maybe I just didn't get to see it. Will take it with me tomorrow when I take them the 1/4 panel extension gaskets.

the stainless channel that the upper weather strip, has screws that hold it to the roof rails, the foam goes between the stainless & the roof

Okay thanks!!!  The guys tore my windows and trim out for media blast, so I'll take the rolls with me tomorrow and ask what they found upon removal. Mine's a post car (coupe).
