The longitudinal stripe for the Demon is easy enough to figure out but the codes for a tail stripe, do they refer to the tape applique that went between the taillights?

Not sure I understand your question.   :shruggy:  The tail panel treatment is one piece as far as I know.

This is an interesting question - I' like to know too. My demon was coded for white side stripes, but had no rear stripe or rear stripe code.

The black portion in that photo is a tape stripe and that is the one I mean.  A buddy was asking me some questions about a Demon fender tag he spotted online and it was coded for two stripes.

V6* Is the side stripe and V8* is the stripe between the tail lights. V6* and V8* were standard on Demon 340 (LM29). Both were optional on Dart Demon (LL29). V5* (side molding) was optional on both and replaced V6* on LM29cars.

So if the car your friend saw was a LM29 340 car, it should code for both V6 and V8. If it is a/6 or 318 car, LL29, it could have both, either or neither V6 and V8.
