duct work question

The 2 vents under the radio on my 69 a c charger don't have anything  behind  them. You can just see through  to behind the dash. Should  there be duct work  or something  connected to the heater box? I have pretty  good  heat but nothing  really blows from those. I just use defrost  and keep  moving. Thanks

If these are the ones you are talking about then yes, they should have duct work going to them.
