Picked up a New Wave induction cook top and an Instant Pot pressure cooker, both on sale over the holidays. I gotta say I'm impressed with both. The temp. control of the New Wave is making a big difference once you get a feel for it. Heating the pans quickly on high and dropping temp. saves time and the kitchen stays cool, I'll save money just not fighting A/C system. Burning oil while frying bunches of pork chops is a thing of the past and keeping dishes ready at an eatable temp. has worked out well.
Today I'm trying pork butt roast in the pressure cooker. I used the New Wave to pan sear while using a propane blowtorch on the edges. I chopped up a head of cauliflower and added some carrots on top of the roast then dumped some Sangria, orange juice and added water till mostly full. Poke the "Meat/Stew" button and I'm done. The thing beeps when ready and keeps warming for about an hour after cooling cycle is done.
I just thought I'd share as these things work really well and save tons of time and hassle.  :2thumbs: I wish I had these when I was feeding 3 hungry kids a few years back!   :yesnod:

strange enough, decent to hear an honest appraisal of the induction cook top, Been thinking of getting one or two and giving one to our college aged daughter living on her own.
