Will this offset and tire combo work on my 69 Charger?

The Foose Nitrous II wheels are custom built and I can get whatever backspace I want.

So here's the question.

I'm thinking of going 15x10 for the rear wrapped in 295x50 tires.

I'm looking to get the tires as far out to the fenders as possible.  So will a 4" offset (backspace) work on a 15x10 wheel and a 295 50 series?

If anyone has the same config, I would love to see it

Thanks in advance!

Do you plan on replacing your rear end?  If so, buy the rears in the offset you want, mock the wheel/tire combo up where you want and measure the distance between the hub faces for the rear width (account for the brakes/etc.).  Then order your rear and you are set.

No plans to replace the rear end however that's a pretty interesting option.

What if I stick with the factory rear end?

Anyone running 295x50 series tires with 15x10 wheels and a 4" backspace?

wont  work very well - most people to 15x10 with 5 to 5.5" backspacing

Thanks guys, appreciate the info.

If anyone has a pic of their car with 15x10's in the rear, 295 50 series, please post it up!  And let me know what backspacing you have.

I run 325's with a 5.5" BS. Fit is perfect. With a 295 I would run a 5" B.S.

Keep your terminology straight, or you might make a very costly mistake.

Offset is the position of the mounting surface from centerline. Negative is inboard, positive is outboard.

Backspace is the distance of the mounting surface to the inside of the wheel lip.

These terms are related, but not interchangeable.
