So I bought a Dana 60 from moser with a Detroit tru trac installed. I slid the axles in and could feel then engage with the carrier. But now if I spin the pinion by hand neither tire turns. Also if I turn one tire the other does not turn as well as the pinion does not turn. Any info on a tru trac? This is in a 68 charger so I don't think that there is one axle longer than the other either.

If you spin the pinion and the axles dont move, then the axles are not engaged with the splines.

The trutrac is a torsion locking differential. A great choice for the ease of an open diff yet the power of a locker. Using brake modulation, i can have one tire completely off the ground and force the diff to lockup and drive with one tire airborne.

Hmmm. I'm sure I felt them go in. But obviously something is wrong. They probably sent me axles that were too short.

Ring gear missing?
1) I assume as you turn one tire someone else is holding the other tire stationary? Something to do with preload.
2) Pull the rear cover and watch what is happening, JUST BE SURE IT DOES NOT VOID THE WARRANTY if you pull the cover.

Ya I'll have to wait until Monday to call moser to see if that voids warranty. Something isn't right though.

Well I guess i messed up, I didnt realize that moser had one long and one short axle. I just assumed they were centered.... Duh oh!!!! :brickwall:
