They have done a good job.  The car looks great.

I'm curious where he is from in Michigan.  The shot looks familiar.  Nice looking ride for sure.

Were 440's blue in 1968?  i thought they were orange....??

I'll be painting my 68 the same color with white stripe.  Thanks for the reference pics.

68's 440's were turquise green I believe (almost like GMC detroit green). 69's were orange.

Wow, that guy really did a nice job!

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Yeah the 1968 440's were Turqouise, both the low performance holley versions as well as the HP versions with the Carter (which would have been in the Charger). But in 1969 they changed that to Hemi Orange for the HP versions of the 440, the low performance versions remained turqouise until 1970. Than the low performance versions became blue and the HP versions remained Hemi Orange until 1971. After that all the 440's were blue.

I am now!  Thanks for the compliments.  Regarding the question of where some of you think you may have seen my car:  East Lansing/Lansing.  I had it out around the area somewhat regularly between 98-01.  I'm currently taking care of some minor issues that I've neglected over the years so you might see it soon.  Thanks again.

Welcome to the site. What brings you here all of a sudden, seeing as how this thread is almost four months old? I love your '68. I looks like you had a great car to start with. No rust but for the trunk pan? That's almost unheard of.

Bull - I noticed the referrals in my web sites log files, so I thought I'd drop in and be sociable!
Limey - I don't remember the offsets on the wheels but I'll measure next chance I get.  I don't think they were too crazy, maybe an 1-1/2 inch positive or negative; I can never remember which one means what.  I believe the rear tire/wheel size I picked happened to be the same as a 96 Corvette.

It's good to have you. If you need any help with the afore-mentioned "minor issues" there are plenty of knowledgable members here you can ask.
