1969 Superbee Rear marker light bezel colour with white stripe?

I've seen it both ways, body colour and white to match the stripe. I like the look of mine with the bezel blue just like the car and would think that Dodge did just that as I can't see them painting the rear bezels white separately. Figured they painted the entire car blue and then the guy installing the strip removed the bezel, installed stripe and put the bezel back.

Can anyone confirm this is how they went down the production line??

actually they had white, black & red pre-painted bezels to put on the cars after the stripes were installed

very early (August '68) in the '69 model year cars are often found with body colored bezels

THANKS!!! I suspect mine should be white then, I'll have to check my build date but I think it was a mid year car so based on our info it should be white. If I'm going to strip and paint I may as well make it 100% correct.

Wouldn't happen to know the paint code for the white?

Got a Painter's Supply nearby?  They have a camera gizmo thingie they can put on the stripe and find a matching white.

Was waiting 'till strip and paint is in process to order a fresh stripe.. but maybe I should pick one up mid winter and do just what you say!

Car was built February 25th, 1969... so I suspect the bezel should be white then!?

The white paint used on the bezel is not as bright as on the stripe. EW1 should be correct.

Thanks... makes sense considering what they would have had in the paint shop at the time.

My Charger has a SPD of 314 or March 14, 1969 and the bezel was painted white originally. When we restored it, we painted it white and I believe we used EW1 White also .
