Does anyone know a good source for a 22" fan shroud for a '69 Charger 383 setup?  I know Year One has one, but it was posted here in a different thread that the fit and finish on these wasn't very good.  Anyone use them or others that are very good?

I bought one from this guy who had two of these.  I haven't received mine yet but hopefully it will work on my 22" radiator.  I might had to add some tabs to my radiator. ;D

Factory 053 radiators did not have a fan shroud for 383 engines be it auto or manual trans.  You might have to get or find brackets from a 440 auto that used the 053 22" radiator as they were the only ones that had fan shrouds for some reason.  Personally, I would have thought that every car would have come with a shroud for max. cooling effeciency. ???

Blame it on better gas and new parts.  The rads and coolant passages in the block were clear and the cylinders weren't bored.  No oxygenated gasohol.  Hey, maybe it's global warming that makes them run hotter now??

I purchased a shroud for the 22" radiator in my '69 Super Bee approximately 6 or 7 years ago, and if I remember correctly it came from Year One . The fit and finish was quite good. Since my Bee didn't come with a shroud from the factory I did have to fabricate some bracketry for the new shroud to mount to the radiator, and it seems that I made a couple small adjustments to the shroud with my die grinder for it to fit just as I wanted it to. But all in all I feel that it was money well spent.

When I get a few minutes I can go through my receipts to see who I bought it through, if you'd like.
