Hydroboost hoses and connections

Question for the hydroboost users here: what connects to what on these systems?  What exactly do I need to connect and what fittings do I use?  Low pressure hose is connected with a tee?  Aproximately what lenghts do I need for the hoses?
Sorry for the questions, just trying to plan this a little before I start buying the wrong stuff.

Here's a basic pic of how the setup should be plumbed up(its a chevy pic but they all get plumbed the same). One line from the pump to hydroboost, one line from the hydroboost to the steering box, and one line from the hydroboost to the tee fitting on the return line.

Just be sure to use a steel braided line, the rubber lines will collapse from the pressure. Rubber line is fine for the return line but the others need to be rated for high pressure.

After work I can get you some lengths needed for the hoses, unless you are going to hide them better than I did. Also I'll shoot some pics of all the fittings.   :2thumbs:

Thanks buddy!

I'm probably going to mount the booster upside down with the cannister closer to the fender and the hoses going down.  If you could give me an estimate on hose length that would be great.  With my empty engine bay it's hard to guess.  I don't know yet how to run them but just imagine how you would run them if you were to do it now.    :2thumbs:

I've got my booster the same way.   :2thumbs:  I ran my lines in the simplest way possible, straight to it. It's not too bad looking as the master cylinder covers most of the hoses. I'm happy with how it looks, nothing gets in the way and I've never been unhappy with the placement but it can be done a bit cleaner. Bill (Bill440rt) ran his straight down from the booster, they went along the frame rail and to the side of the steering box. I know he posted some photos of it somewhere?

Here are my measurements:
Steering box to hydroboost line was 16"
Hydroboost to power steering pump was 26". I made it have some extra slack just in case I pull the pump out for some reason, that way I can move it to the side without unhooking any of the lines.
Rubber return Line from hydroboost to Tee fitting was 16" and another 6" from Tee fitting to pump.

I'm sure if you got a 4-5 foot section of braided steel line you'll have plenty to make it a clean install.

If you need some more photos I can shoot a couple more.  :2thumbs:  After I clean off all the dirt I just noticed taking these!

Thanks Clayton, that's exactly what I needed.

I'll order 5 feet of braided line and 3 feet of rubber hose.  That oughta cover it.  I need to read up on these fittings, I never used AN fittings and know little to nothing about them.
