which side of the carburator (edelbrock) should the vaccum advance be plugged in? does it matter? someone told me there is a major difference so i figured i'd ask here

later  :icon_smile_cool:
Daddy ran whiskey in a big black dodge
bought it at an auction at the masons lodge,
Johnson County Sherriff painted on the side,
just shot a coat of primer then he looked inside,
well him and my uncle tore that engine down,
I still remember that rumblin' sound.....

actually that's not correct, the afb and avs have a ported vacuum port on the passanger side, the middle is the pvc (bigger) and the drivers side port is full manifold vacuum, you want to connect the vacuum advance to the dist to the passenger side port (left port standing in front of the car looking at the engine). ;D

Natcho is incorrect

dodge freak

Why not just take a vacuum gauge and see what one is ported and use that one. Thats all there is to it, some are full time others are ported- which means when the throttle is closed theres no vacuum-full time means open or close it has vacuum.
