Can you rebuild convertible top operating cylinders?

Just like the topic says, anyone do it or just replace 'em?

I would think any competent hydraulic shop could do it.  There's not much to a cylinder.   There's a few that advertise in Hemming's - www.hydroe.com is one.

These guys hide in plain sight just like the alternator/starter guys.

Call an implement dealer or just ask a small excavator (or anyone that owns a backhoe).  They will tell you who's local.

If you want to rebuild it yourself they might measure and locate the seals for you.
