Hood latch on a 69 Charger?

Hey all I have a spare hood here I got with a charger project of mine and I took the hood latch assembly off of it and noticed that the hook itself is about an inch longer than the one on my 1968 Charger. I am thinking the hood may be from a 69 Charger? I know the 68 one is correct. Check the pic below , the hook measures 5in long which won't work on my 68.
