There are some seriously great pics of cars back in the day! Lots of "lovlies" pictured also but, alas, no pics of my Charger back in the day!

Thanks for the pics anyway!

Redbird

When cars and everything was really fun. If one would count all the wing cars customized which are claimed to not be restored.

I liked the picture of Ronnie Sox at the 1972 Chicago Auto show signing pictures with the Sox $ Martin 1971 Road Runner. I had not seen it at the 1972 show before. It is sitting on the base that held the Superbird at the 1970 auto shows as well as the Duster 1 and Sox & Martin b-body car in the 1969 shows. Also the Sox & Martin '68 Barracuda at a dealership in 1970 with the RTS roll out flooring.

Thank you for the link to the site.

Lime green with the red and purple accents.    Beautiful car in its day.   Later painted up like a #71 K & K car.

What an outstanding collection of pictures!

While on the '70s topic, does anyone recall a picture of a Superbird with a tunnel ram / 2-4 setup?  I remember it from waaaaaaaaaaaaay back in some car magazine.  It was set up with the front and rear jacked way up, with some kind of solid front bar suspension setup...like the '57 Chevy "gasser" look.

Anyone remember that picture?  I thought it was neat because it's the only picture I've ever seen of a Superbird with stuff coming out of the hood.

Could you post the image of the 71 Road Runner with Ronnie singing near it?

moparchris

Wow, so cool.  Reminds me of growing up around the cars the guys who were a little bit older than me.  Every time I saw a Charger or Road Runner with huge N50's and mufflers hanging off the headers I thought it was the coolest thing ever.  I wish we could go back .  The times were simpler and better (for the most part, unless you had an all expenses trip to south-east asia).
Make me want to put some Posi-a-traction Torque Twisters on the Hemi 500 and find an old set of break-apart hookers.  If you have to ask...I'm sorry

Great site....lots of memories in those old pictures...I even found pictures of both my Superbird and several of my Chargers included.  I did have to laugh at some of the guys trying to look cool in front of their cars....(many looked more like Chess Club members than car guys...LOL)
