Rant: blowers

So roughly 5 or 6 months ago i commission don Hampton to build me a complete blower kit for my 383. I call monthly to see how's he been and how's the work etc.  each month conversation gets shorter to the point last month I call and ask how's it been saids fine should be done next week then hangs up.  Tried to call yesterday 28 days later does not answer.


So now I'm bummed if this guy is gonna finish it up......

said 3 weeks....called after a month he send end of month, then next month saids ends of month, called next month said end of the month, etc....I commissioned him to do it so im out 1k right now then I pay the rest in delivery.  Still 1k is a lot of money I don't want to lose.  I had to message his facebook page that his son runs and his son got in touch with me and saids he will see his father Sat. which was yesterday and report back to see whats going on.

Just be honest with me is my point, but I don't want to wait 2 years for a blower either when there is one built already by Alky Digger for my 383.  he saids he has 2 of them in stock ready to ship told me to get back my deposit from him

Damn! Said it would be 3 weeks and has been 6 months, I'd be pissed.

He is 6 hours away so a short trip for me, but Ill give him the benefit of the doubt.  Most would of wanted to kill him, but I know his blowers are the best out there, but people just hate dealing with him because they went through the same ordeal as im going through now.  When you call him he kinda gives you attitude about why you asking me monthly when its done.....attiude, but hey its business and he has my money gives me the right to call you to ask.


Anyways no feedback yet from his son.....seems now his son is MIA......he is popular in the hot rod community..I mean come its fckin Don Hampton here.....
