Who's using what. I need to find one that will burn the music and then at least the songs that are on the cd. Too many labeled dad's or mom's with no list. Thanks

I'm just using the CD burner that came built into my laptops and desktop computers. There are stand alone units that can plug into your USB ports on your computer if you have one.

I have a built in burner too. Can I use that to print the titles on the "up side" of the cd? What do I need to do with the usb ports? Thanks for the fast reply

So what you are asking about is not a CD/DVD burner, but a CD/DVD labeler.  There are various ways to go about that. Use a standard printer to print to CD/DVD stick on label.  Use a printer that can print to a CD/DVD direct - need to use discs that have a printable surface.  Or spend the bucks for a combo CD/DVD burner & labeler. These would use software for something like LightScribe or LabelFlash which also use special CD/DVD's. A writeup about all this here https://www.belightsoft.com/products/resources/labelingdiscs.php. And no, unless your burner is a specific burner and labeler it will not work to label your disc.

Yes. I Have (suppose to) Lightscribe but it does not seem to be working though. I think some of the components are missing. I tried the link to update but I don't think it (Lightscribe ) is currently available.

You need to make sure you have the correct hardware, software and media. What you need to look for explained here http://www.supermediastore.com/article/u/lightscribe-dvd-media-center-start3
