Ok guys, I found this 74 S.E. Charger in a tiny old town kind of off the beaten path. This car has been sitting for a long time. It is a 318 car blue / blue int. with slap stik and cruise control. Passenger window is broke out which probably means a rusty floor. You can't readily see this car from the nearby highway but I'll bet the owner has been hit up about selling it. I would like to save the car and make it more of a 'driver'. But I don't really know what to offer him,,,If it even has a price ? I need some ideas as to what price you would offer. I know its not a lot of info, but I don't know much else yet. Other side of car has a dented rear quarter, I do know this car has sat for at least 10 + yrs.    It is Ruff but pretty complete.   Give me your opinions please,,,,,,,,,,,

Hard to say with out knowing what the underside is like. Sitting on the ground, the frame could be shot. Now hypothetically, if the frame is nice yet, and the floor are reasonable, $800.

That's a big question...I have been asking a guy to sell me his 73 Challenger for over 10 years. I know a ton of people have done the same. He finally put a cover on it. He is the original owner and swears he will eventually restore it. You and I both know that will never happen. Hopefully you aren't facing the same type of person.

Even though it is on the ground it looks like a hard dry area. If it has a solid body I agree it is probably worth somewhere in the $800-$1000 as it sits. That seems to be the average price lately for a car like that.

I should mention a friend of mine has one nearly identical right down to the dent on the passenger quarter. I thought it was his for a second until you mentioned the slapstick shifter. His is a column shifted car.

Thanks for your thoughts guys,,,I didn't want to insult the guy but I wasn't sure where to start at either,,,,I also have been wanting to do the open road rallye in Nevada and nothing less than a Charger will do. RallyeMike does it in his 72,,,I wonder if the cruise control will hold at a steady 130 mph ?

Another way to think of it is,if it was your car and you were selling it, how much would you want to sell it for?

If the owner has seen any of the B J auction he's going to think that car is worth 5k.
With out more pics I would say $500. If it's that ruff you will spend 7-9 k to make a a nice driver that's worth  5k. I've been down that road once before.

I didn't get any interior pics, It is all there but window has been broke out for a long time, so you can imagine. I will try to find the owner soon and barter with him at around 600 - 800 to start with.  I do appreciate everybodys thoughts on a fair price offer,,,,,,by the way,,on the ' twin ' photo that Dodgechargerguy posted above,,,could you get these tailights on a plain car ? I thought it had to be a 71' R/T, 71' 500 or a 72' Rallye to get these ?

You are very correct. Those are '71 lights that someone added to the car. There worth almost as much as the whole car.
