Headlight Door RT emblem install

What is the trick to install an RT emblem on the headlight door on my '68?  I have the emblem and two retainers but can not seem to be able to push up the door and insert the retainers.  Thanks for your help!

Will be easier to roll up the door with the vacuum lines disconnected.
I had to remove the headlight to get access.

Thanks guys.  I opened the door several times with not enough room to get the retainers on. I also had to remove the headlight and finally got em on.
