Hi , Am I correct in assuming the "F" side of the fuel gauge is the positive side? Same side for the other gauges? Thanks

actually any side should work. On 3rd gens the cluster is casted with the wire color must be fitted, I guess just for order.

You can use either stud for positive to test and calibrate, it doesn't matter.  When you look at the back of the cluster's circuit board, you can follow the power wire to see to which stud it goes.  But again, when testing you can choose which will be positive.
