Have a 73 and even though I bagged everything, I somehow lost the two short bolts that hold the column to the bracket under the dash. Anybody know the size or where to get replacements?

2Luke2

No idea, but a tap and die set should be able to get you at least the threads and you can go to your local hardware store to get a few different length bolts.

ODZKing

Which ones do you mean Randy?

randy73

the two that connect the bracket to the column and looks like you are missing one.

thanks for the pic.

I'm not sure what those bolts are, but I recall them being something pretty common on the car.

2Luke2

The head of the bolt is 1/2" and the threads is 5/16 16NC it's about half an inch long.

randy73

thanks 2Luke2, that is what I needed know.

randy73

bought 4 - 5/16 x 3/4" with a 18 thread and they worked perfect.

I hope this column pic was taken in the process of removal and repair, and not operational.

DOES ANYONE KNOW THE SPECS ON THE TWO BOLTS THAT GO THROUGH THE WHITE SQUARE PLASTIC WASHERS?

ZEXTROT

THOSE ARE THE WASHERS AND SPACERS, BUT I NEED THE BOLTS.

BLK 68 R/T

The bolts you are referring to are pressed into the dash frame support, you should have 2 non removable studs that stick down. Then you install the nuts and washers.

Moparparts

I have those correct original studs, bolts nuts and washers. PM or e-mail me
