What's the difference if any ??? Interchangeable ? How can I tell the ratio's ? Thanks

New Process was the manufacturer of the 833 transmission as well as several Dodge transfer cases for 4wd trucks. I believe that your answer is that they are both the same thing.

Keep an eye out...    The NP A-833 was also manufactured for GM truck applications (rarely seen but they do exist).  Nothing swaps between them and the passenger car dodge transmissions
