Well, my bud sent me some pictures of THREE 69 Chargers left out in the woods and left for dead. He has known about them for 15 years and tried to buy them once and the guy said he was going to save them for his kids some day. Well, 25 years have passed and they have not been touched. I'll try to track the guy down and save them. At least they are in a dry climate. I can't post pics but I think all three could be saved. They are all big block cars. Two are HP 383.😥

And fender tag info if possible.  :2thumbs:

Yeah right.  Save them for his kids.  "Here you go, my beloved children, piles of rust and animal fecal matter for you to spend countless hours and money throwing at just because I waited 40 years to throw a tarp over these things..."

Yeah. It's a sad end that a lot of cars suffer because of the owner had no grasp of reality. I can't post picture right now but I do have fender tag info that I can post later.

Good luck Mark.
Do what you can to explain to the owner politely how much time and money it takes to restore just 1 car and honestly is it something that he can ever do.

I may have taken one of them....was one if them blue with flames on side?

If was that was me taking it.....grandpa saved EM for 25 years on bricks and was gonna build it up with 2 grand sons for a general lee but two sons became of age and said, we don't want junky cars.  :icon_smile_big:

Thanks Mark, I'd love to add it to the registry.

This is one of those stories that should be added into the "I'M GONNA FIX IT SOMEDAY" thread... shame.

Best of luck getting your hands on them!

Well, it's hard to find out who owns cars like this in Texas anymore, but I have faith I can find out who owns them. The good thing is that the cars are worth enough today that it makes it worth hunting for the owner. I'm willing to pay a fair price for the cars,so that helps. I bought a car that was considered a parts car until recently. I've dug enough to find the legal owner and will soon have the title in my name and up for sale. Any 68 383 4 speed is worth saving if it is not rusty these days.
