Anyone in the force?

Since I reached a dead end in the research of my Charger's past my last hope is a VIN check by the cops. I know 3 previous owners but I can't trace back the history earlier than the late 90s (Alabama DMV only keeps records for 10/15 years and the first owner I know doesn't have any paperwork - he remembered the Charger and where he bought it but nothing more).
This is a long shot but is anyone of our fellow police officers on this forum able to check my VIN in their database? The car might have been in Louisiana once and in Alabama for sure (Huntsville).

I would really appreciate any help!

Thanks!

We only have info on current owners and address. Sorry.

ChargerST

Thanks for the info! Would a private investigator be able to get any info?

A P.I. would be expensive and would probably only get as far as you did. First thing he would do is exactly what you did and track the last owners and try to talk to them to learn more about the owner before them.

I don't want to discourage you but if the DMV doesn't have a record and the previous owners can't get you any further back then its a cold cold trail to try and follow.

If the car has gone off radar (not registered anywhere) for the past 7-10 years it's only going to get harder to find. Good luck.

I tried to contact the Huntsville Mopar Club if they could help (maybe a member owned or remebers the Charger) but never got a response...
