whats the value of a 71 rt with no fender tag and no build sheet ?

nice colour ,nice options including sun roof  but no proof except for a real 71 rt vin number  :scratchchin:

If that's the car that Jana Cova got naked for and then slid her body all over some years ago, I'd definitely pay a little extra for it lol...

Time was back in the day, without the Fender Tag or Broadcast Sheet, there was a devaluation to price ?

Not so anymore it seems ? as both are now available as "reproductions" ?

Not going to get into the morality of "IF" they should be available or not.
just sayĆn.....
it seems nowadays, or it won't be long until ? that a Cars "authentic history"(if in fact they are lost, damaged or stolen) can be UNDONE for a price ? which affects it's resale "Price".

IMO,
What always starts out as a well intentioned "Service".... ie; offering authentic "reproductions" based on sufficient other documentation...... it will eventually fall to the lowest common denominator being MONEY !  No matter the integrity or moral disposition of anyone currently involved. Everything eventually does once the door is opened, and if there is "demand" and Money involved..... it is just a natural progression.

People will take what they can get these days. That car will never roll across the Mecum auction stage but it'll enjoy it's own success...

No tag and sheet definitely sucks, price and historically wise on such a cool car.
I say depending on the history of the car, the missing tag/sheet could have more or less weight.
Maybe this guy has some back in the day pics or other proof of what the car was?
Air grabber, good color, 4sp and sunroof are all super cool.

Personally, I couldn't spend big bucks on a car with no fender tag. If it had a build sheet, that's a different story, but still not as much as if the original tag was there. This is just my opinion as a collector, it hurts the value big time. Is it a 4 speed? Was it always a 4 speed? The kind of questions that would rob me of sleep.

Well this car isn't for the historian based collectors.  This is the quality cruiser that someone who's just looking to enjoy Classic Mopar muscle can do so without spending for the pedigree...

Oh there's no denying that, I'm saying that I'm in the camp that if I spend all the money a pedigree needs to be included.  There is plenty of room for quality cruisers in the hobby, maybe more so (provided they are priced accordingly  ;) )

Poly, if you're asking me if I'd pay $20 Aussie for it, then yes definitely. I would think that early thirties would be market value for it though.

I'd also say that would be mid $30 - to $45 out here in NZ - tag or not. Tags don't mean much to us, great if they have them, but not a deal breaker, unless its triple black gator grain Hemi 4 speed yada yada, then I'd sit up and take notice...

Is the VIN stamped on the body in the correct places?
