"I am selling my husband's car. It can go sit in someone elses driveway and get in the way. The car has a new 350 small block motor in it with 350 horsepower (that is lots more than he does). The motor has less than 50 miles on it. Husband has way more miles than that. Anyway 3spd. stick shift. I know rust is suppose to be a big no no and I don't see any on the car. The paint is dull. It might shine up nice but its a crappy creme color anyway. The interior is black and looks real good. No tears. It has a salvage title. Don't know why we got it that way. Tell ya what I will do... $15,000 if I buy the new tires for it or $14,000 if you do. Thats as fair as I can be. "

looks like a sales gimmick at best, a scam at worst.

i gotta agree with you on this one. i bet if someone close by calls and asks to see the car, their response will be
"well, i just moved to somewhere and the car is with me and I'd have to ship it to you"

i saw this on a black 70 not too long ago. she had it advertised in Minnesota, but said it was located in my home town in Texas, so a member on here asked me to check it out.... yep scam. the address was to a vacant lot that was for sale, and the license plate was from a BMW. She stopped responding.

Im thinking more along the lines that it may be a legitimate sale, but the "jealous wife" schtick is a ruse to perhaps get more attention for the ad, since these types of ads sometimes end up on Jalopnik, message boards such as this one, etc.

Shes right about the color.

Even if it is a legit ad, no way would someone pay anywhere close to $14k for a '67 2dr 350/350 Malibu.  :pigsfly:

You'd be surprized. That makes one helluva SS396 4-SPEED clone.
same thing with inline six 67-69 Camaro/Chevelle. Think Chargers bring money? These are the Chargers of the GM world.

True that Cooterman. Could easily be a Yenko clone too. Out of curiosity
I checked the NADA value placed on a 350/350 3 gear car like that.......$38k!

I was shocked to say the least. You can't set store by the values listed
on NADA, KBB, Edmonds etc but that was crazy money for a car like that.

Now if it was a true L78 4 gear car then I could see that kinda coin.  :shruggy:

The only thing to be gleaned from this situation is this: do not get married...
