Hi, I'm new to the group, I have an opportunity to purchase a 1969 Charger that has been restored at some point and now the fender tag is missing and I could not find a broadcast sheet under the back seat. How can I confirm what this car is, I saw in this forum experts picked a car apart and suggested it might be a mix of two. The second digit is a S and I thought my Chrysler manual ment that was a special order and the 5th is a L and I thought that was for a 383v8, any ideas would be great! Thanks for everyone's time. Rob

S as the second digit means it's an R/t  in 69 an L means 440
68 Charger R/t white with black v/t and red tailstripe. 440 4 speed ,black interior
68 383 auto with a/c and power windows. Now 440 4 speed jj1 gold black interior .
My Charger is a hybrid car, it burns gas and rubber............

Is there any way to replace the fender tag and find the correct information?

I believe you need the broadcast sheet. It wil have the options the car originally came with.

You would need the broadcast sheet to get a fender tag made.  The FT and broadcast sheet have the order options listed.

I know it is a shot in the dark because the car has been restored but broadcast sheet can be in other areas i.e. behind glove box, underneath one of the front seats, under the carpet, above the headliner.

Do you have a window sticker?

There is also numbers stamped on the radiator support(drivers side) and the trunk lip area(driver side) under the trunk weatherstrip and those are partial numbers that match the vin plate.

This is great information! The car has had both rear quarter skins replaced and repainted a darker shade of blue then I see on the core support but I'll look for some numbers there and by the trunk lip, at least it would confirm parts match, I'll try with a mirror under the front seats and glovebox for the sheet. Thanks again for the help
