Dowel pin removal

I was having a lot of trouble pulling the bell housing dowel pins out of a 440 with the engine still in the car. I came up with a simple solution. I used a 1/2-20 die. You need the one with the 1 inch hex on the outside. I used a 1 inch socket to thread it on Use a spacer in the socket to keep the die up front. Start threading the dowel pin when the die bottoms out it starts pulling the pin. Worked very well.
