Thought the readers here might like to see this one .
Its a non numbers car, no fender tag and no build sheet.
So the client is building it his way( or in correct terms paying me to )
Just a few pictures from early on to show along the way and where I am now. Plan is to have it done by spring of 2015

Shakey

Looking forward to more progress photos Bill!   :yesnod:

Car was pretty rusty,
so far it's received 2 full quarters, 1 piece trunk floor, trunk extensions both sides. dutchman paenl. 1 fender . patches in the floorboards, 1 section in the firewall. Upper cowl panel , rebuilt the base of the A pillar where it meets the cowl . It seems like the only place it has had rust is the frame rails and the roof .
I got the inner cowl panel painted yesterday and should have the upper cowl welded back on by the weekend .
Will spend this week making and welding in  small patches for the floorboards under the rear seat. Some of the small pinholes I think I may just try to weld close with the mig

Here it is almost naked . We blasted the back half ( what was left of it ) before welding on sheetmetal .

gtx6970

I had 3 grilles here to do last summer , so might as well do the one for this car at the same time .
LOTS and LOTS  of plastic repair went into this . Metal frame was dipped and powder coated satin black. Repop trim and fasteners.

gtx6970

This is basically where it's at now. Bottom side was stripped of it's undercoating to have it media blasted so we could ck for rust in the floorboards( found some )
Most of the component pieces are done( heater box, steering column, all the  ft suspension pieces are all dipped and powder coated . Drivetrain is also done ,, 440  ( no stock ) Hemi 4 spd and 4.10 Dana are all ready to go .
So once it's painted it should go together pretty quick

All I can say is,,WOW. Owner is stoked he decided to put it back the original color.

Got the doors cut in today and weather permitting plan is paint the trunk this weekend . WIll tape up the doors and get the interior side painted pearl white next week.

The flash kind of lightens it up just a bit, But WOW this is gonna look sweet. My painter will do the finish blocking on the body, tweak the gaps and such then spray the exterior.

That is a sweet color.  Looking good Bill!

Yea, your not kidding. EE1 is gorgeous.  69OURTEA posted up pics of a 68 Coronet 440 in EE1 with blue interior a while back and it's to die for. Man with a white interior that car would be out of this world.  :2thumbs:
