The bad guy goes into a parking garage, gets in his '72 starts backing up and Jim Gorden blocks him from behind, arrests him then opens the trunk to search it so definitely part of the scene. Nice close up shot from behind, the front and the inside of the trunk showing an old time bias ply spare. They did their homework. Looked correct.

I pretty sure that is a Staten Island car still owned by the son of original owner.
