Its a great advert for Drag racing!

Why?... because its not just about Horsepower and your Boot size!!! :shruggy:
I could run 10.50 in my 440ci street-legal Dart with 580hp... :drive: :drive: :drive:

Oh well, with 1000hp it ran 8.20 180mph on pump gas..... :slap:

I can't watch the video at work, but if it's the race I'm thinking of against the 700hp Tesla car...the challenger never had a chance.

Was the fastest street Mopar in Europe twenty years ago! (8.200) Pump-Gas...
We have 'Red Victor 3' now a 7.000 second street car (maybe 6.000).

Back on topic, I used to live in Fulham London, on the way to school I walked past an American car showroom.
Guess what, its still there and they sell 'HELLCATS'...

£65,000... gonna get me one when I sell the C500...
They have 9 HellCat Challengers on pre-order already!
Maybe I will keep the C500 as Hellcats are too common...

There was a famous flying squad in the UK called the 493rd 'HELTON'S HELLCATS'...
I was wondering if any of their bombers survived?

For Folks who have money to burn it doesn't matter, you get to drive the car anyways!

The Dodge Dart Racecar in the picture cost £100,000 to build here in the UK...early 1990's....
At that time that would be $200,000, so what's it worth now...... around $30,000, tops!

If the Dartman had bought and restored some wingcars instead, he would be a much happier man indeed!!! :popcrn: :popcrn: :popcrn:
