I am restoring my heater controls is there some kind of a decal you can get for the knobs it looks pretty tedious to paint the letters in, it seems like I remember seeing them somewhere :shruggy:

Get a quote from performance car graphics to compare to a new set.  I am not aware of ant decals.

good timing  , was just looking at these !  deciding should I use  them , on the heater  control panel I've just put in !!  , can  hardley read mine  ,  decided against it ! thinking they would look too new  , & not fitting with the rest of the dash etc

I used a set from Premium Dash decals. http://premiumdashdecals.com/6870_bbody_rallye.htm#heater6870B

Although they look SO much better than the knobs I started with,, IMO they are not perfect. I dont care for the white edge on the paper used to make the decal. ALTHOUGH,I did go over the edge of the decal with a black sharpie and  in the car it is tough to detect.
Next time i may try a set from Performace car graphics

Oh yeah, what's the best way to get the oxidation off of these. Has anyone had any luck painting them?

If we are still talking knobs I did clean mine and paint them with a satin black plastic paint before applying the decals.

Wasn't there a company that offered the lettering as a dry transfer instead of a decal? Was it ECS perhaps?  :scratchchin:
